If remedies are diluted past the point at which any of the original substance remains, how can they work? The answer is, they would not without a second process used in their preparation. At each stage of dilution, the remedy is also banged sharply several times. This is called succussion.

There is nothing mysterious or mystical about this. We know from physics that every atom has its own energy pattern. Succussion releases this pattern as data, and each time dilution and succussion are repeated, the data signal gets stronger. The homœopath must match not only the symptoms of the patient to those produced by the remedy in a healthy person, but also the signal strength, or potency. That potency needs to be slightly stronger than the disease so that the immune system recognises it, overcomes it, and with it the symptoms of the disease.
